Fashion editorial in Paris.

Doing a fashion editorial in Paris is always a unique experience. If you add a spectacular wedding dress and a stunning model, the result is pure magic. And even more so if you do it on a sunny spring day, when the city vibrates with its soft light, ideal for capturing unrepeatable moments. Because if there is a place in the world where fashion comes alive just by walking, that place is Paris.

From the beginning that was the idea I had many months ago and I told Viviana from ‘Y comieron Perdices’ about it. Undoubtedly the most magical wedding dress boutique in Mallorca. Where so many brides find the dress they have been dreaming of all their lives. She found it for me because I wanted this particular type of wedding dress to take some spectacular photos.

She looked for it and when she told me she had found it, it made me very happy. It is by Nicole Milano with many layers of tulle, a lot of glamour and elegance. With gradient colours ranging from white to pale pink, it certainly leaves no one indifferent when they see it.

It was always clear to me that I wanted Ivana to be the model. I did her first professional modeling book when she was 13 years old and I knew right away that she was going to be very successful. When she sent it to Elite, the best modelling agency in the world, they wanted to hire her immediately. Besides, apart from being spectacularly beautiful, she is even more incredible as a person. That’s why I wanted her to be the model for this fashion editorial in Paris.

From the beginning, I knew I wanted a strong visual story. Nothing classic. A bride who is different, who breaks with the expected. Modern, free, walking around Paris as if it belonged to her. So the first thing was to choose the settings. Iconic places, but told from a different point of view. And with light as the protagonist.

Paris in springtime has a unique glow, a mix of romanticism and freshness that envelops everything in a natural way. And that’s exactly what we wanted to capture: the naturalness, the effortless elegance, the spontaneity of a modern bride in a city that inspires you to dream.

The perfect start: Opera Garnier

I had planned every detail with great care: the choice of dress, the iconic locations, the secret corners of the city and, of course, the light.

We started the session in front of the façade of the Opéra Garnier. That building is simply breathtaking. The contrast between the classical architecture and the modern silhouette of Nicole Milano’s dress was instantaneous. Everything just clicked. The first photos were right there. The midday light was falling, creating soft shadows.

Every gesture Ivana made was perfect. We played with the structure of the building, everything was elegant, with a theatrical touch. Ivana was in her flowing dress, full of movement. The tulle floated in the breeze as she crossed the street between cars in front of the Opera Garnier.

A stroll through the passages of Paris

Afterwards, we went during this fashion editorial in Paris in the covered passageways of the city centre. These places have a hidden charm. Glass ceilings, mosaic floors and old shops that seem to be frozen in time.

There the atmosphere changed completely. The bride was now a young explorer, moving freely among glass cabinets and old books. The dress contrasted with the dark tones of the interior. And every corner offered a new texture to play with the light.

The photos there became intimate, some people stopped to look, surprised. Nobody expected to see a bride walking around those corners, so out of time. That made it all the more special.

Ivana didn’t need to pose too much; it was enough for her to move naturally for the images to speak for themselves. We found inspiration on every street corner. From a café with an empty table to a street full of people, everything provided an almost cinematic aesthetic.

Descent into the Paris metro

Then we went down to the metro. We wanted to break with the idea of the perfect, unattainable bride. So we decided to take her to the everyday heart of Paris: its underground transport. Because this fashion editorial in Paris wasn’t about perfection, it was about living in the moment. And that’s something that comes across strongly in every image.

The model Ivana came down the stairs wrapped in tulle. The scene was surreal. Travellers looked at her in amazement, some even smiled. We took pictures on the platform, with the train lines in the background. The dress got a bit dirty, but that was also part of the story. We wanted to show the real thing.

Inside the carriage, the fluorescent lights created a different atmosphere. More urban, more raw. That contrast between the glamour of the dress and the everydayness of the metro was exactly what we wanted to achieve.

The interesting thing about doing a fashion editorial on locations is that the unpredictability becomes part of the charm. For example, when we decided to go down to the metro, we knew we were entering a completely different environment. The idea was to contrast the delicacy of the wedding dress with the urban rawness of the Parisian metro. And the result was fascinating.

The steps of Montmartre

Then we took the funicular and went up to Montmartre. The steps in front of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica are a classic. But we wanted to show it from another perspective.

The model was going up and down the steps, with Nicole Milano’s dress moving like a wave. We captured it all: spontaneity, elegance and a bit of chaos. Some tourists applauded when they saw her, it was a beautiful moment. You felt like something special was happening right there. It’s not unusual to see photo shoots in Paris, but a bride in the middle of April always catches the eye.

Then we went to the Arc de Triomphe with its chaos of traffic and people trying to capture such majesty in a photo. There we mingled between pedestrians and cars, taking advantage of a police stop to let a band pass. It was a funny moment when we were able to get close with the police behind us whistling at us. Ivana was having a great time while enjoying this unique experience in this fashion editorial in Paris.

Golden evening in Trocadéro

Finally, we finished the editorial in one of the most iconic places in Paris: Trocadéro. We arrived just in time as I had planned for sunset. The sky was beginning to turn orange and the Eiffel Tower was silhouetted against the skyline.

Ivana walked slowly through the crowd. Some people looked at her in surprise, others just went about their business. The dress caught the light as if it shone on its own. Every step she took generated an image worthy of a front page.

Then we went to the Alexander III Bridge with the street lights on and everything was so magical. We took the last pictures in that golden light. We made the most of every minute. It was a perfect ending. Paris gave us its best version right at the end of the day.

An editorial that tells a story

Beyond the photos, this fashion editorial in Paris was a complete experience. A visual story about a bride who simply lives her moment. Someone who dares to walk around the city in her dress, unafraid to break the rules.

Moreover, Ivana the model was ideal for this kind of editorial. Young, natural, with a fresh attitude. She wasn’t afraid to get dirty, to run, to try different things. And that changes everything in a shoot like this. It’s not all about technique, it’s also fundamental to connect with the model. When there is trust and complicity, everything flows better.

Wedding photographer Paris

There is something special about spring in Paris. Everything is in bloom. Light streams through buildings and narrow streets. People are more open, more cheerful. And you can see it in every picture. There is life, there is movement, there is excitement. Paris is much more than a pretty postcard, it is a city with a thousand faces. In a single day you can go from the classical elegance of the Opéra Garnier to the enchanting chaos of the metro.

This fashion editorial in Paris was not just a photo shoot. It was an emotional journey through the city. A declaration of love for movement, for the unexpected, for the beauty hidden in the everyday. And of course, to the unique style of Paris.

I want to thank Ivana and her mother who have trusted me from the beginning. She has a beautiful future ahead of her as a model in the fashion industry. Ivana is going to live many experiences and without a doubt she is going to succeed. She deserves it for being such a magical person inside and out, it has been a pleasure to be able to photograph her. Soon we will see her on all the magazines and covers of Vogue. Thanks also to Viviana from ‘Y comieron perdices’, it is very important to know how to trust, appreciate creativity and art.

We had achieved exactly what we were looking for: a series of images that not only showed fashion, but also told a story. A story of freedom and unpretentious beauty in Paris.
