You have decided that you want to do it outside your city or country and the idea of getting married in Mallorca appeals to you. Well congratulations firstly on your engagement and secondly, read on. I am going to try to explain some things about getting married in Mallorca that might help you to make your decision.
It’s not easy to organise a long distance wedding, especially if you don’t know the place and the language. You may think it will be a lot of fun at first, but it is something that takes a lot of planning and detail.

Well, I have had a couple who, without having been there and only because of photos, made the decision of getting married in Mallorca and they didn’t regret it, on the contrary.
But bear one thing in mind, your family and friends are coming. That means that it has to be a good decision for them as well. It is not a destination for everyone (I mean for everyone’s pocket). That said, many of my couples, their families and friends take the opportunity to enjoy a holiday. They don’t just come the day before and then leave. Speaking of catering, another good reason to get married here is the level of gastronomy. Both the ingredients on the island and the chefs are incredible. Try to get local vendors as much as you can. Whether it’s caterers who know more and will give you useful tips. As an example of personal gifts for guests, a small bottle of local olive oil would be great. Try to include products such as sobrasada, ensaimada etc. at the wedding. The caterers will explain everything to you but bear this in mind. 5- When are the best months to get married?
The island is famous for its good weather almost all year round. Even so, in February you can still get very cold when it snows in the Tramuntana mountains. Although you see a German or Swedish tourist in short sleeves and next me for example with all the warm clothes I have in my wardrobe. But to be fair the best months are April, May and let’s say June, September and October. In July and August it is very hot and if there is no other choice it is better to have the ceremony at 19.00 when the sun is already a bit lower. Otherwise you risk the dress sticking to you and you and everyone else sweating a lot.

I have had weddings where the ceremony had to be interrupted to give water to the guests. And aperitive have been moved from one place in the sun to another in the shade because it was too hot to stand. -Finca Son Togores: one of my favourites, without a doubt I can say that I have had some of the best weddings there. It has everything you can look for, different atmospheres, light and sunset, elegant rooms. Beautiful banquet area with fountain in the middle, perfect lighting, romantic, close to Palma.
-Finca Son Marroig: I have had weddings with incredible colours and magical moments. The last one was American and it rained before the ceremony but the weather allowed us to have it outside. Getting married in Mallorca under that dome overlooking the sea and then the sunset is unique. Everything went so well and there was such a good energy that it will be unforgettable.
-Finca Son Veri: One of my favourites without a doubt, I had weddings there last year and it was amazing. It is run exclusively by Jardin Events of Grupo De Castro. So you have the best catering and organization of Mallorca together in a beautiful and elegant Finca. Plus, it’s close to Palma, what more could you want.

-Finca Son Mesquida Nou: If you want to live the experience of a place in the countryside, this is perfect. With its rustic but at the same time very well cared for atmosphere you will love it. It has different spaces to surprise the guests at every moment.
-Finca Son Mir: The driveway alone is fascinating, full of flowers and gardens with orange trees. It has that mix between traditional and modern that engages you. Very elegant and rustic at the same time, with plenty of space to enjoy. It has an exclusive catering service by Marc Fosh that you will definitely enjoy.
–Finca Comassema : It is a mix between Tuscany and Mallorca with its cloister of stones and ivy for the ceremony. Then the pond for the aperitif and the green lawn with its hanging lights for the banquet. I have experienced very top weddings there and I always like to go there.

7- Activities to do before and after the wedding
More and more I am experiencing weddings, especially American weddings that organise an event the day before. They do a welcome drink at a beach club so that everyone has the opportunity to get to know each other if this is not the case. Also, it is perfect for the couple so they have time to chat with everyone which is often impossible on the day of the wedding.
