Organising a wedding at Finca Gordiola Mallorca is synonymous with history, art and authentic emotions. This wedding that I present to you today has been very special from the beginning. It was recommended to me by a friend of the couple, whose wedding I did a couple of years ago. The protagonists are Jon and Santi, a couple with whom I connected from the first moment. When they told me about their idea of getting married at Finca Gordiola, I knew it was going to be something unforgettable.
From the moment they mentioned the place where they had decided to celebrate their big day, I was very excited. Gordiola is a special place for me as a photographer in Mallorca, where I was able to shoot an editorial for Telva Novias magazine that I will never forget. I love the factory itself; I find the art of glassblowing incredible. They have been creating unique and special pieces for more than 300 years, since 1719, when it was founded. Each one, being made with this technique, has its own exclusivity.

Because of all this and because it was them, I knew it was going to be a wedding at Finca Gordiola Mallorca that I wanted to be a part of. And when you meet the two of them, you notice their complicity and you know that they are made for each other. Over a beer one day, they explained the details to me and they wanted it to be something very much theirs, not the usual. First of all, they were going to make some very different outfits, created in collaboration with the tailor Carlota Barrera. That was already promising, and they also wanted it to be a big party. In terms of music, they already had a few DJs signed up. In particular, DJ Yahaira, who I love, was going to play. The music was going to be a great protagonist, without a doubt.

They had the company Tot a Punt organising everything with Joanna in charge. I have already worked with them a lot and I knew that everything was going to be great for this wedding at Gordiola Mallorca.
Preparations with style and excitement.
In the morning we started with the preparations for both of them. They had booked separate rooms at the Iberostar Llaut hotel. First we started with Jon, who greeted us at the door, and I could already feel the typical nerves. He had been very calm until now, but that happens: when the day arrives, everything changes. There was the hairdresser Alberto Abejón, from Ivory Cut House, finishing with him and he had left him looking great.
He had his father Xema and his best friend Mila with him. The tailor Carlota Barrera had his suit ready and, little by little, Jon started to put it on with her help. His father was trying to make jokes and at the same time dressing up in a suit designed by Carlota, which was a surprise as his son didn’t know about it. Xema is a super funny father and you could see how proud he is of his son; his looks at him are the best.

Jon’s suit, as you can see in the photos, is very special, with several asymmetrical layers, transparencies and white. They were both very stylish and elegant. Mila, Jon’s friend, also wore a red dress that looked great on her and helped in everything. We went down with them and took photos in the downstairs area and in the hotel garden. This helped him to relax and get some fresh air. Although it is May, it was already hot.
When we finished, we went with Santi to his room. We were able to meet his parents, who had come all the way from Colombia and were very nice. Santi was very handsome and, perhaps, calmer than Jon. We took pictures of everyone and then we headed to the venue. As a professional photographer in Mallorca I was really looking forward to this wedding at Finca Gordiola Mallorca.
As soon as we entered, we greeted Joanna, who had almost everything ready. The ceremony area, next to the ovens, was spectacular. With a brown chester style sofa and lots of rugs on the floor. Two large arrangements of white flowers adorned the ceremony, all with a lot of personality, just like them.

A first look full of emotion.
One of the most special moments of this wedding at Finca Gordiola Mallorca was the first look. Jon waited with his back turned while Santi approached from behind. Neither of them knew how the other was dressed. When they turned and saw each other for the first time, the emotion was absolute. Their gestures, smiles and looks said it all.
They are the best and very funny, always with a smile. Santi couldn’t contain the illusion that everything was making him. Jon was getting wrapped up in everything that was happening. It had been many months of preparations, with its stress and its good things. Finally the day came when they were going to celebrate with their friends and family.
They wanted to have their couple photos taken before the whole thing got underway, so we went to the museum area. I had planned, as always, several special photos for them.
I had asked Viviana, from Y comieron Perdices, for a veil, and as always, she was lovely enough to let me have it. So, in a few minutes, I did the couple’s photo session.
Then, with the whole family, they met upstairs on the terrace near the museum to toast before the wedding. Everyone was very excited and looking forward to the wedding. From there we went to prepare the entrances to the ceremony.

The guests arrived slowly, surprised by the originality of the place and the decoration. They began to enjoy the Tot a Punt welcome drink. Then they took their seats for the ceremony. Mikel from Liándola Parda was in charge of the music and sound, and they were going to enter with the song Días raros by Vetusta Morla. It was spectacular how they entered, each one coming down the stairs with this great song. Everyone was happy and excited to see them.
There were moments for everything at the ceremony; it was very emotional and fun at the same time. Absences are always very difficult to bear in this kind of things, and they are missed. Jon and Santi were sitting on the sofa as if they were at home, living it all at ease. Their family and friends read them very nice things and then they read their vows to each other. They made us laugh and understand even more why they are made for each other. I love them, they are an amazing couple.
They put on their rings with a lot of laughter, kissed and walked out with their arms raised on the stairs, with Vetusta Morla at the top of the stairs. Everyone was excited to see them and they were waving from the top. That moment was mythical with Dias raros at full blast.

After the ‘I do’, we went to the cocktail area where some friends welcomed them with a traditional Basque dance in honour of Jon’s roots. Between canapés, cava and music, the celebration quickly picked up pace. A tower of cava exploded Formula 1 style and everyone caught the festive atmosphere.
The entrance to the banquet was another memorable moment. All the guests were on their feet, napkins held high, giving it their all. This wedding at Finca Gordiola Mallorca was a real party, full of energy and excitement from start to finish.
Details and music for all tastes
During the dinner, the couple handed out personalised gifts to family and friends. From bouquets of flowers to frames with photos, every gesture was thought of with love. When the DJ played a song, no one could resist: everyone danced, sang and celebrated with them.
In the disco area, the DJs offered a variety of sets depending on the time and atmosphere. Without a doubt, it was a perfectly organised wedding-party, designed for maximum enjoyment.
