This season has been amazing when it comes to proposals. I am living very romantic stories and meeting many couples who love each other very much. In this post I want to introduce you to Mathew and Emily. They live in Chicago and have known each other for 10 years. He contacted me because he wanted to organise a wedding proposal in Mallorca, and I thought it was a great idea.

We had several conversations where he told me exactly how he wanted everything to go. It was going to be a surprise proposal for his girlfriend Emily, but he told me that she was sure to sense something. Smart girl. That’s why, and much more, he’s marrying her. They were going to Barcelona beforehand because they are big fans of electronic music, so they spent a few days at Sónar Barcelona giving it their all before coming to the beautiful island.
We prepared the day, the time, the details, and Mallorca was coloured gold that afternoon. The sun, about to plunge over the horizon, painted the cliffs with shades of fire. The air carried the smell of salt and promise. For anyone, it was a perfect sunset. For Mathew and Emily, it was so much more: it was the exact moment when everything would change. That day, Mathew and I had it all planned. Nothing improvised, but everything had to look casual. We started with a photo shoot in one of the most beautiful villages in Mallorca.
